Location: DS12 docking Ring, en route to Pacifica

L\'Verrem cautiously made his way to the docking ring and the stalk Pacifica was docked to. He thought it best to go right to engineering and look around for Lt. Kirkwood rather than use his comm badge. If the Maquis were monitoring DS12\'s communications, then it was a foregone conclusion they could just as easily monitor Pacifica\'s. He approached Pacifica\'s entrance haunched down, ears constantly on the move probing for sound, his tail pointed down. He occasionally looked back just to be sure no one was following him. It felt just like the hunting days of his youth on the Caitian plains, except this time he felt like the prey. The lights were turned down since it was DS12\'s night, but L\'Verrem\'s night vision easily compensated. There was no one else around and only the whoosh of the air recyclers could be heard. Just as he approached Pacifica\'s threshold, something didn\'t seem right, didn\'t SMELL right. He stopped and crouched and looked around. There was definitely something not right, but he couldn\'t figure out what. He sat silently for a few minutes as he felt a presence. It then left him, and he decided to quickly finish his trek to Engineering.
