The [[USS Pacifica]] docked at [[Starbase 257]] for immediate repairs after it's encounter with the [[Rikan Pirate Group|Rikan Pirates]] who were operating along the neutral zone. With the [[USS Pacifica|Pacifica]] sidelined for 3 to 4 days for repairs the entire crew got the opportunity to fully celebrate the traditional earth holiday of Christmas. The crew got really involved in the celebrations with some members of the ship’s staff deciding to decorate their quarters and the [[USS Pacifica|Pacifica’s]] bar and lounge Jadda's. For some of the crew it was their first taste of the Christmas holiday and they also chose to be involved in the celebration learning as they went. In the early hours of the 25th of December the first ever baby was born on the [[USS Pacifica|Pacifica]] to the loving parents of [[Ashley Douglas|Ashley]] and [[Sam Douglas]]. Also in a surprise move [[Daniel Butterworth|Commodore Butterworth]] asked for [[Connie Butterworth|Doctor Morgan's]] hand in marriage, after some brief hesitation that included delivering the Douglas’ baby [[Connie Butterworth|Morgan]] accepted [[Daniel Butterworth|Butterworth’s]] proposal.

Christmas Dinner which was held later that day was the highlight of the celebration with the majority of the crew in attendance. It was during this dinner that the rest of the crew got to meet some new faces who had recently transferred onboard the ship including some old ones as well who were returning to the fold. The crew also bid a sad farewell to Lieutenants [[James Harris]] and [[Owen Banks]] who were leaving the [[USS Pacifica|Pacifica]] to lead the expedition that was exploring the ruins found in the [[Typhon System]]. Lieutenant [[Marcus Cesarian]] was named as the [[USS Pacifica|Pacifica’s]] new Chief Science Officer.

Introduction

Summary

The new year got off to a slow start for many of the Pacifica's crew after what had been a long couple of days full of fun and laughter. Some of crew went through their usual morning routines, while some of the Pacifica's newer faces got themselves use to life aboard the USS Pacifica. Final preparations were taken care of and the Pacifica finally departed Starbase 257 after the repairs had been completed by the ship's Engineering staff. With the ship now fully back in action the USS Pacifica joined up with a Star Fleet Task Group to head the operation in bringing the pirate group to justice.
