Personality & Trait

General Overview:

Jason is a very fun guy to be around; an infectious smile he can be the life of a party. He's your best friend on the battlefield and wholly believes in the ideals of Starfleet and of the Marine Corps that has taught him so well. He's the kind of guy that you want backing you up, he follows orders and is smart. He loves being a marine, he loves exploring the universe and defending and protecting those entrusted to his care. He's the kind of guy others look to for leadership in a tight spot; you'd want to have him there when off duty; you'd want to just hang with the guy.

History

Childhood & Early Life

Before joining the marine corps Jason had two older brothers to deal with. He learned how to assert himself by growing up in a family of three boys. His eldest brother Michael joined Starfleet and is an Archaeologist of alien cultures, Thomas works for the Starfleet Diplomatic Corps. Jason grew up on Earth, New York specifically in the rough and tumble neighborhoods of Brooklyn. He knew that he'd be going Starfleet - just didn't know where. The Marine Corps looked as good to him as anything he could have hoped for, a chance to see the universe, a chance to see new civilizations meet alien cultures and protect and defend the Federation from foes without or within.

Boot Camp History

In Marine Boot Camp it was a tough experience learning all the protocols, learning how to be a marine, how to think like one and act like one really impressed him and he knew he had made the right choice. The physical conditioning made it even tougher but he has come through with flying colors. Promoted to squad leader after only four months of training he was a natural born leader always respecting the chain of command, his superiors have high hopes for him and they think he will become a fine officer. Intelligent and a burning desire to see strange new worlds and promote the ideals of the Federation to worlds that are oppressed by slavery, servitude or oppressive Governments, Jason requested Bravo Fleet well known throughout Starfleet as the frontline and the frontier. Jason knew that this was his calling.

Starfleet History

His first posting was to the USS Agrippina a science and research vessel with a small platoon of two squads of marines. He started his career not exactly as he imagined it would be the Agrippina was not a ship to see action on. It was a research vessel, as such it was cataloging and tagging known archaeological finds not exactly what a marine was hoping for. However on one such occasion some of the crew of the Agrippina were on a routine dig of a site, some freedom fighters from the planet took the small survey team as hostages and held them until the government would meet their demands. The demands were not met leaving the hostages in danger. They called the marines and the 557th came to answer, it was tense for a while but they went in and rescued the hostages, disabled the freedom fighters base camp and restored peace and order. There were no injuries and no fatalities it was a textbook example of how to negotiate a hostage situation. For that Jason was given a commendation by the Agrippina's captain.

Following the successful rescue of the away team Jason put in a request for a transfer to a larger starship. The transfer was quickly approved and Jason was transferred much to his surpirse to the USS Pacifica, where he had been selected to command the ship's 501st Battalion. This was Jason's first senior command posting and made the most of the opportunity, as he played a major role in intergrating the 501st into the Pacifica's crew structure. He served with the 501st for closr to a year before he was promoted to the rank of First Lieutenant and transferred to the USS Youngstown where he took the command of the 522nd Battalion. He is still serving on the Youngstown to this day and has recently been promoted to the rank of Captain.
