Basic Overview In Character and Out of Character
Kimberley Harper served as the Commanding Officer of Bravo Fleet's Deep Space 12 from 2377 to 2381, a total of four years. The crew of the Pacifica have served along side Xommodore Harper and the crew of DS12 on three seperate occasions. During those four years the character was played by Kim Harper until she gave up simming in 2005 due to illness. Outside of her involvement with DS12 Harper has a long history with the Pacifica, as she was the one responsible for introducing many of Pacifica's early crew members to simming including Daniel Butterworth & Connie Morgan. She is well respected and is considered a friend of the Pacifica's simming community. Kim Harper returned to simming in 2006 and joined the crew of the Pacifica in celebrating the ship's 5th Anniversary and later decided to continue her simming on the Pacifica with a new character. Kimberley is quite small, but is a very athletic person who keeps a trim figure. She has shoulder length light brown hair that she often keeps in a loose ponytail and brown eyes. She has fair skin and a small scar on her left hand which she received from a horse riding accident that happened when she was a child.

General Overview:
Kimberley is a person who puts her duty to Starfleet before anything else. She doesn't have many close friends because of this and her relationship with her family back on Earth has suffered because of it. Her high sense of duty has earned her a lot of respect from her peers and has helped her to where she is today as Commanding Officer of the USS Jacinta. She is also fiercely loyal to the uniform, her family and fellow crewmembers who she will always support no matter what. Kimberley is also a quick thinker who will also back her decisions without a second thought, however this has started to change over recent months as she has started to doubt her own ability to make the tough decisions.
Hobbies and Interests:
Since she grew up on a farm in North America Kimberley has always liked and has been a excellent horse rider. She competed in numerous competitions when she was young. Now that she is in Starfleet Kimberley doesn't have the time to continue her riding, but every now and then when she has some free time she'll take a relaxing ride in the holodeck. Kimberley is also an avid fun of Earth literature that developed during her time at the Academy this includes the works of Shakespeare. She is also an avid fan of games of strategy including chess.

History
Childhood & Early Life
Kimberley grew up on a very small working farm in Kentucky North America. She spent a lot of childhood helping her father and elder brothers out on the farm where she became a skilled farm hand. She also developed a keen love for horses and became a gifted horse rider in her youth, she often participated in a number of show jumping events much to her delight of her family. Even though she grew up on a farm Kimberley was dedicated to her schooling, always managing to finish in the top few of her class. It was during her last few years at school that she began to set her sights on joining Star Fleet, as she wanted a change from everyday farm work even though she enjoyed it. Her parents were not happy with her decision to join Star Fleet as they had hoped that she would one day take over the farm since her brothers had already moved on but despite her parents wishes she applied to join Star Fleet Academy and passed the entrance exams without much trouble. This effectively put her relationship with her parents on the rocks, as they continued to refuse to accept her decision.
Starfleet Academy
Kimberley found her first few months at the Academy quite difficult without the support of her parents. Things got so bad that she nearly decided to drop out of the Academy during her first year if it hadn't been for her uncle who talked her out of it. She found her feet during her second year at the Academy and really started to perform well academically in all of her classes. She graduated from the academy with honors in Operations and Science.
Starfleet Career
In her first year out of the Academy Ensign Kimberley Harper was assigned as a Junior Operations Officer onboard the USS Fairchild where she served under the command of captain Jamie Chester. She preformed well with her duties, whilst on the Fairchild and became a valued member of the ship's crew earning herself a promotion to the rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade. She served on the Fairchild until the ship was destroyed at the start of the war with the Dominion the entire ship's compliment survived this encounter and was picked up by the [[USS Enterprise|USS Enterprise NCC-1701-E.
Upon returning to Earth Kimberley was assigned to the USS Intrepid as Chief of Operations with a promotion to the rank of Lieutenant. She preformed her tasks well on the Intrepid and even spent some time serving as the ship's Acting Executive Officer after he was killed during a Dominion Attack. After the ship returned to dry dock she was promoted to Lieutenant Commander and appointed as the Intrepid's new Executive Officer. She served in that position for almost two years before her Captain recommended her for a command of her own. Because of this recommendation Harper was transferred and placed as Commanding Officer on the former Cardassian Space Station Deep Space 12.
During her first day at her new command, Deep Space 12 was attacked by an unknown party and left crippled. After her efforts to stablise the situation on the station Harper was promoted to the rank of full Commander. A few weeks later Commander Harper lead DS12's crew out on her first real command mission which was to retrieve a federation contact from inside the Jaiyian Pirate Group. Harper lead the mission well and with the efforts of the station's senior crew they were able to retrieve the contact but along with a loss of life. However Harper remained strong and keep the crew from trouble during the investigation that followed the mission. Harper continued on as the commander of DS12 and was promoted to the rank of Captain. She continued to serve with distinction and was surprisingly promoted to the rank of Commodore and was named as a Task Group Commanding Officer in Bravo Fleet's Task Force 72.
Upon the conclusion of yet another difficult mission onboard the station, Kimberley began to question her own decision making ability and her own career in Starfleet. All of which was not helped by the sudden death of her mother back on Earth, after receiving the news of her Mother's passing Kimberley put in for an Leave of Absence which was approved by her Task Force Commanding Officer. She returned to Earth for her mother's funeral and to do some much needed soul-searching. After her Mother's funeral, she chose to remain on earth for a while longer as she wanted to decide whether or not to return to the fleet. She also been to work on improving her relationship with her Father who she hardly spoken to since she joined the Academy all those years ago. She spent close to a year on Earth repairing her relationship with her father before finally deciding to return to Deep Space 12 in 2381. After six months back on the Station, Harper took command of the USS Jacinta to lead a short term deep space exploration mission in the Gamma Quadrant. The Jacinta has recently returned to Federation Space where it is still under the command of Commodore Harper.
