  • Command (Primary Manifest)

    The Command department is ultimately responsible for the ship and its crew, and those within the department are responsible for commanding the vessel and representing the interests of Starfleet.

    • USS Crazy Horse NCC-50446

      The USS Crazy Horse NCC-50446 is an Excelsior Class refit vessel and is named after Chief Crazy Horse of the Oglala Sioux tribe from Earth who resisted American takeover of his people's lands in the 1870s. Crazy Horse was the last of the famed Excelsior Class starships to be built by the Federation ending a 50 plus year construction program.

  • Communications (Primary Manifest)

    On many smaller vessels in Starfleet the Communications Department is usually is amalgamated within the much larger Operations Department. It is only on larger starships and starbases due to larger amount of communication traffic that Communications continue to run as a seperate entity. On the Pacifica the Communications Department monitors and coordinates all transmissions both internal and external. The Communications Department often coordinates closely with both the Operations and Security Departments.

    The Strategic Operations department acts as an advisory to the command staff, as well as a resource of knowledge and information concerning hostile races in the operational zone of the ship, as well as combat strategies and other such things.

    The Starfleet Marine Corps is a branch of Starfleet primarily used during war time and provide a majority of the ground combat forces during war time to protect Federation land-based assets. Originally conceived from an emergency gathering of forces, the Starfleet Marine Corps have found a niche during peace time as well.

  • Security & Tactical (Primary Manifest)

    Merging the responsibilities of ship-to-ship and personnel combat into a single department, the security & tactical department is responsible for the tactical readiness of the vessel and the security of the ship.

    Civilians play an important role in Starfleet. Many civilian specialists across a number of fields work on occasion with Starfleet personnel as a Mission Specialist. In other cases, extra ship and station duties, such as running the ship's lounge, are outsourced to a civilian contract.
