Mission: Nothing Stays the Same
Location: Marcus's Office, USS Pacifica
Timeline: 22 December 2383 1000 hours

Marcus surprised himself when he realized that he was now standing in his office. He could barely recall walking from the Starbase where he had just finished seeing William, his recently discovered son, off on his way back to Earth and Starfleet academy. His mind had been so wrapped up in his thoughts about his sudden fatherhood. In his mind years had gone by while in reality it had only been moments. Marcus hoped he hadn't accidentally walked into anyone on the way to his office.

Stepping over to his desk, Marcus picked up a PADD and began scanning through his schedule for the rest of the day. Most of the science teams were busying stowing equipment and supplies. Among the cargo being loaded today were several very sensitive stellar probes. The schedule indicated that Ensign Connelly was handling the transfer. Marcus laid the PADD down on his desk and decided to head down and see how it was progressing.
