While in professional relationships Eric is completely comfortable; however in a social settings in the past Eric became shy and somewhat withdrawn. History
Eric grew up in a strong family and a family deeply involved with the Federation. His mother Michelle Davidson was a strong Ambassador for the Starfleet Diplomatic Corps, his father Mikel Davidson was a senator in the Federation Council and hoped to run for the Federation President. Those hopes were shattered in a terrorist attack in 2370 in Paris, a shuttle that carried both Eric's Mother and Father and two other senators was destroyed by an explosive device killing all onboard. Eric was devastated, at 15 and parentless Eric left Rarth and headed to Risa where his grandparents resided. Over the years political leaders and friends visited and kept in contact with Eric all continuously sending their support and condolences on Eric's loss. At the age of 17 and under the guidance of Senator Mackenzie Eric entered college back on Earth at Notre Dame his studies were primarily Galactic Political Science and Intergalactic Affairs. It seemed Eric was following in his parent's footsteps towards a political career with an accelerated graduation at the age of 19.
It was after a war that faced the Federation that Eric decided his place was amongst the stars. In 2374 Eric entered Starfleet Academy, his studies were Command and Operations. Eric's mind was well-developed and technical information for starship and starbase design and operations seem to come almost naturally to Eric. In 2376 Eric was complete with the operations training and was prepared to graduate and receive his first commission, it was at that time the Commandant recommended Eric be selected for a Strategic Position inside Starfleet Headquarters. The Rear Admiral's recommendation carried heavily and Eric was sent to a one year strategic school at the Academy. In 2377 Eric graduated the Academy was commissioned as an Ensign and assigned to the Chief of Military Operations Starfleet Headquarters, Strategic Operations Department.
Eric was promoted to Lieutenant JG and served as Chief Strategic Officer on the USS Pacifica one of the leading Sovereign Class starships for Task Force 86 in Bravo Fleet. Eric was excited to be amongst the stars on his first starship assignment.
